.DISCUSSION...High pressure will build over the region today. The
next storm system will begin to impact the region Friday afternoon
producing mainly mountain showers and a slight chance of
thunderstorms over the central and eastern mountains. The storms
will have the potential to produce heavy rain. Mountain showers
will linger into Saturday with breezy west winds developing in the
afternoon and evening mainly in the Cascade gaps. A ridge of high
pressure will build over the region Sunday into early next week
bringing warm and dry conditions.
