422 WGUS82 KRAH 172242 FLSRAH Flood Advisory National Weather Service Raleigh NC 642 PM EDT Fri May 17 2024 NCC001-063-077-135-145-180045- /O.NEW.KRAH.FA.Y.0019.240517T2242Z-240518T0045Z/ /00000.N.ER.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.OO/ Alamance NC-Durham NC-Granville NC-Orange NC-Person NC- 642 PM EDT Fri May 17 2024 ...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 845 PM EDT THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of central North Carolina, including Alamance, Durham, Granville, Orange and Person counties * WHEN...Until 845 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas, including on streets and in urban locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 642 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
