...COOL WITH SCATTERED SHOWERS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS POSSIBLE
OVER NE NV INTO THIS EVENING AND NEAR ORCA BORDER AND ALONG THE
SIERRA AND INTO NV FRIDAY INTO SATURDAY AND WARMER AND POSSIBLY
ISOLATED SHOWERS/TSTORMS ALONG SIERRA ON MEMORIAL DAY...

.METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS (WED AM - TUE AM)...

Upper level trough over the western U.S. into Saturday with several
shortwaves/lows moving through. an upper low currently over the
PacNW will move into ID and Nrn NV this afternoon into tonight.
Scattered showers currently over NE NV may continue into this
evening.  Max temperatures this afternoon below normal to around 15
degrees over far north and generally near normal elsewhere except
up to 10 degrees below normal over Srn CA coast. Weak disturbances
move through the north Thursday for possible isolated showers and
thunderstorms over central/Srn Sierra. Temperatures generally cool
to near normal to around 10 degrees below normal on Thursday, except
warm to near normal to 10 degrees below normal over Srn OR and far
Nrn CA. A couple shortwave troughs along the west coast early
Friday, with one off the OR coast and another off Central CA coast,
then moving onshore during the day Friday. The northern one digs into
Nrn Ca and Nrn NV Friday afternoon into Saturday.  Chance of
isolated to scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms near the
ORCA border and along the Sierra and over NV Friday into Saturday.
Max temperatures cool to 10 to 20 degrees below normal over the
Central and Srn CA coast Friday afternoon with temperatures
generally below normal up to 10 degrees elsewhere. Max temperatures
cool to around 5 to 20 degrees below normal on Saturday. Weak
ridging over the region Sunday into Monday with warmer temperatures
and mainly dry conditions. Max temperatures warm up to near normal
for most of NV and Srn OR and interior CA with below normal temps up
to around 10 degrees below normal over the CA coast on Sunday. Max
temperatures warm up to above normal to around 10 degrees above
normal except to around normal along the CA coast on Memorial Day.

Freezing levels generally 10,000-14,0000 ft into Thursday except
5000-9000 ft across the far north into Thursday morning. Freezing
levels around 7000-10,000 across Nrn CA and Nrn NV on Friday into
Saturday and around 10,000-12,000 ft across the south.  Freezing
levels rise to 10,000-14,000 ft across the region Sunday into
Memorial Day. Precipitation amounts generally a tenth of an inch or
less except around 0.25 inches over the mtns of NE NV.
