.SYNOPSIS...
Generally seasonal weather will prevail into next week. There will
be a slow warming trend through Thursday with high temperatures
warming around 5 degrees, then a few degrees of cooling for Friday
through Sunday, then a few degrees of warming for Monday and
Tuesday of next week. There will be gusty southwest to west winds
for the mountains and deserts for each late afternoon through late
evening with the stronger gusts to 25 to 35 mph. The marine layer
will generally fluctuate between 2000 and 2500 feet deep with
areas of night and morning low clouds spreading into portions of
the valleys.

COUNTIES...

.SHORT TERM (Today through Thursday)...
A warming trend will continue through Thursday with less warming
near the coast and a little greater warming inland. With the
warming, Thursday high temperatures will be around average for the
coast and valleys and around 4 to 8 degrees above average for the
deserts, mostly in the 80s for the Inland Empire, 90s for the
Apple and Lucerne Valleys, and 100 to 106 for the lower deserts.
There will be gusty southwest to west winds for the mountains and
deserts for each late afternoon through late evening with the
stronger gusts to 25 to 35 mph. Night and morning coastal low
clouds will continue to extend inland into portions of the
valleys.

.LONG TERM (Friday through Monday)...
Slow cooling for Friday through the weekend with Sunday high
temperatures a few degrees above average for the deserts and a few
to around 5 degrees below average for the coast and valleys, in
the upper 70s to mid 80s for the Inland Empire, 80s and lower 90s
for the Apple and Lucerne Valleys, and upper 90s to 102 for the
lower deserts. Then a few degrees warmer for Monday and Tuesday of
next week. Night and morning coastal low clouds will continue to
extend inland into portions of the valleys.

.AVIATION...
280930Z...Coast/Valleys...Low clouds based at around 1000-1500 feet
MSL with tops to 2100 feet will continue to cover most of the
coastal basin by 13Z. Vis reduced 1-5SM along inland extent of
clouds and on higher coastal terrain. Scatter out 16-19Z inland
toward coast, but with limited or intermittent scatter out at the
immediate coast. Low clouds with similar bases/vis will spread back
inland after 02Z and into portions of inland valleys early Wednesday.

Mountains/Deserts...Areas of W-SW surface gusts 30-40 knots on
desert mountain slopes and locally into the deserts after 22Z.

Otherwise...SCT high clouds this afternoon, but generally clear
skies with unrestricted vis today and tonight.
