...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following
  counties, Fisher and Jones.

* WHEN...Until 700 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 506 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms 5 miles west of Hamlin to Hamlin...moving
    slowly east. This will cause arroyo and small stream
    flooding. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1.5 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Stamford, Hamlin, Avoca, Tuxedo and Hitson.
  - This includes the following Low Water Crossings...
    County Road 245 crossing California Creek, County Road 242
    crossing Flag Branch and crossings along County Road 141.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
