A moderate risk of rip currents is expected along area beaches today. Surf heights will generally run around 1 foot or less this afternoon. Similar conditions are anticipated Friday. Easterly to southeasterly winds increase this weekend, which will lead to a high risk of rip currents at the area beaches this weekend into early next week.
