Windy and warm conditions are expected across the listening area
today. High pressure will drift east allowing for southeast winds to
increase. Through the afternoon hours, gusts will range from 25 to
45 mph with the highest gusts expected across the Missouri Valley and
West River. Clouds thicken by tonight in the west with a chance for
showers and thunderstorms developing after dark. This activity will
track east across central and northeast South Dakota overnight into
Thursday morning and then eventually into west central Minnesota by
Thursday afternoon. Some storms could be strong to severe.

Highs today will warm into the 70s to around 80 degrees. Lows tonight
will fall back into the 50s. Highs on Thursday will be in the low to
mid 70s.
