No hazardous weather is expected at this time. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY... Isolated to scattered severe thunderstorms are forecast to develop Thursday afternoon and evening east of Highway 25 in northwest Kansas and southwest Nebraska. Storms will be capable of producing large to very large hail and damaging winds; a tornado may also be possible near sunset. A cold front then moves across the area where additional severe storms may be possible east of Highway 83 again with large hail and damaging winds. Wind gusts up to 50 mph, not associated with thunderstorms, are possible to the west of Highway 83. A Red Flag Warning is in effect Thursday from 11 AM MDT to 9 PM MDT for Cheyenne and Kit Carson counties in Colorado as well as Sherman, Wallace and Greeley counties in Kansas. Southwest winds gusting 25 to 35 mph during the warning period will shift to the north to northwest with gusts up to 40 mph in the evening as a cold front moves through. This will create unpredictable fire behavior for any ongoing fires. For the holiday weekend, there will be a chance for storms both Saturday and Sunday, with severe storms possible. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation will not be needed. $$
