Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
643 PM MDT Wed May 22 2024

...Red Flag Warning is in effect from 10 am to 9 pm mdt Thursday
for Fire Weather Zone 225 below 7500 feet...

...Fire Weather Watch is in effect for Zone 225 below 7500
feet for Friday afternoon and evening...

.Discussion...

Critical fire weather conditions will continue this evening for
the southern mountains below 7500 feet, with critical conditions
then returning for the same location Thursday and Friday.

Mainly dry weather is expected through the holiday weekend, into
early next week, though isolated afternoon and evening showers
and thunderstorms will be possible each day, mainly over the
mountains. If these storms do develop, they will produce only
spotty wetting rainfall.

Temperatures will near to slightly above seasonal averages
during the next 7 days.

Afternoon smoke dispersion will reach very good to excellent
levels both Thursday and Friday.

--- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds ---
