...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN HARDING AND SOUTHERN
UNION COUNTIES THROUGH 315 PM MDT...

At 229 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Texline to 8 miles west of Sedan to 14 miles
southeast of Gladstone. Movement was southeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Amistad, Hayden, and Sedan.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If threatening weather approaches your area, take shelter in a sturdy
building.

Frequent dangerous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these
storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek
a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM MDT for
northeastern New Mexico.
