.DISCUSSION...Tonight and Wednesday...
Tonight, scattered showers and storms should end along the Palmer
Divide and adjacent plains. Another round of scattered storms and
showers are possible Wednesday afternoon for the mountains,
foothills, and plains with the potential of a few severe storms east
of I-25. Smoke dispersal reaches very good to excellent for the high
country but lower conditions between fair to good exist for the
urban corridor and foothills Wednesday afternoon.
LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Wednesday night through Sunday...
It will be cooler and a little more humid behind a cold front on
Thursday. Will continue to see a chance for isolated to scattered
showers and thunderstorms Thursday, with the best chance along and
south of I-70. Warming trend begins Friday and continues into
Saturday. Chances for late showers and thunderstorms continues for
Friday and Saturday as well. High pressure aloft begins to develop
Sunday and into early next week. This will result in warmer and
drier conditions with decreasing chances for showers and storms.
