Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southeast Wyoming/Western Nebraska
National Weather Service CHEYENNE WY
229 PM MDT Tue May 28 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Cannot rule out a few isolated dry thunderstorms this afternoon and
evening for areas around Cheyenne and westward. Dry low-levels and
high-based thunderstorms will contribute to the dry lightning
potential. These storms could also contain gusty, erratic winds.
Near critical fire weather concerns will be possible through Friday
for areas west of the Laramie Range. Here, minimum RHs each
afternoon could drop below 15 percent with wind gusts over 25 MPH.
Further east, daily chances for showers and thunderstorms will keep
RHs higher.
