Hydrologic Outlook
National Weather Service Glasgow MT
241 PM MDT Mon May 6 2024

A large and strong spring storm system is slowly moving through the
region and will stall over this area for multiple days. Bands of
moderate to heavy rainfall will repeatedly spread over many
locations over the next few days. Area creeks and streams will
quickly respond with rises. Low water crossings and poor drainage
areas will follow as early as Tuesday morning.

As the soil becomes saturated, areal flooding of smaller creeks and
streams will be possible through the middle of this week and the
water will begin to feed into into the larger rivers. Sharp rises
for our main stem rivers are possible later this week. It is not yet
known when this will result in flooding for the Milk and Missouri
Rivers. We will continue to monitor conditions and provide updates
as needed.
