...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT WICHITA AND SOUTHEASTERN GREELEY
COUNTIES THROUGH 200 AM MDT/300 AM CDT/...

At 127 AM MDT/227 AM CDT/, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of
strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 4 miles southwest of
Scott City to 16 miles southwest of Leoti to 11 miles south of
Horace. Movement was east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

These storms will remain over mainly rural areas of Wichita and
southeastern Greeley Counties, including the following locations...
Marienthal, Lydia, and Selkirk.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
