...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTH CENTRAL IBERIA...ST. MARY
AND SOUTHEASTERN ST. MARTIN PARISHES THROUGH 430 AM CDT...

At 323 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Jeanerette, moving southeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to vegetation and outdoor
         objects is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Franklin, Patterson, Jeanerette, Berwick, Bayou Vista, Burns Point,
Baldwin, Loreauville, Ellerslie, Patterson Memorial Airport, Glencoe,
Sorrel, Cote Blanche Island, Charenton, Lydia, and Centerville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
