Scattered showers with isolated thunderstorms are possible during the afternoons and evenings both today and Tuesday. Weak upper ridging aloft will limit coverage of showers and the best chance in the area will be to the southwest of the site in Virginia. Tuesday will have greater coverage as the upper ridge moves off and low pressure approaches from the west. Patchy fog could develop late tonight into early Tuesday morning, but is more likely west of the Blue Ridge and Catoctins. Light northerly winds today turn out of the E/SE by Tuesday. High temperatures will be in the mid to upper 80s both days, with low temperatures in the 60s to low 70s.
