Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
954 AM MDT Fri May 31 2024

.Discussion...

Chances for afternoon showers and thunderstorms will continue for
southeast Colorado today and tomorrow, with the potential for strong
to severe storms possible each day. By Sunday, a trend towards above
normal temperatures and dry conditions looks to set in. Sunday will
be breezy for many locations, with spotty critical fire weather
possible over portions of the San Juans and La Garitas. Though hot
and dry conditions look to stick around into the middle of next
week, winds look to weaken below critical thresholds.

Afternoon smoke dispersions will be very good or better over the
high country today and tomorrow and good or better for the plains
for today and tomorrow.

--- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds ---
