.DISCUSSION...A strong upper level low is moving south through the
Bering Strait and will move to Nunivak Island by Tuesday afternoon.
This is bringing strong northerly winds along the
West Coast. With this low and repeated shortwaves from the east,
we can expect there to be daily afternoon thunderstorms mainly east of Galena
with a possibility of seeing up to 0.1 and 0.2 inches of rain from these
storms. There is still a cooling trend expected throughout the week as cold
arctic air will be rushing into the area. Temperatures, winds, and RHs will
remain well clear of critical levels.
