Fire Weather Planning Forecast for S MS and SE LA
National Weather Service New Orleans LA
303 PM CDT Fri May 10 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Northerly winds are in place following behind a cold front that
passed early today and remain in place through tonight. Humidity
will also fall to the 40 percent range behind the front for
Saturday. As a surface high passes to the north and settles into
the east of the area over the weekend, winds will shift from
northerly to the southeast. By the end of the weekend and into
next week, a low pressure system will bring higher rain chances,
humidity, and persistent southeast winds.
