.DISCUSSION...Tonight and Thursday...
Cooler but dry weather is forecast on Thursday. Breezy conditions
will continue across the high country and portions of the far
northeast plains, with light winds anticipated across most of the
Denver metro and Palmer Divide. Relative humidity values will fall
to about 20 to 30 percent across the region. Smoke dispersal will be
good to excellent across the forecast area on Thursday.
LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Thursday night through Monday...
On Friday scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms are
possible which should ease fire weather concerns, with snow above
8,000 ft MSL. Smoke dispersal reaches good to excellent for the
foothills and mountains Friday. Dry and warm conditions Sunday and
Monday combined with winds gusting 20-35 mph may lead to elevated
fire weather conditions once more. Smoke dispersal will be
excellent both afternoons pretty much everywhere, though gusty
west winds above local thresholds may prevent Rx burns in many
areas.
