This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central South
Dakota.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Gusty winds, record temperatures, and drying fuels will result in
very high Rangeland Fire conditions today. Winds will be out of
the west with gusts of 30 to 40mph. Wind speeds will be strongest
along and west of a line running from Hayes to Presho and Iona.
Wind speeds will be substantially lower to the north and east of

Ice jams on the White River will continue to cause minor flooding.
Expect occasional rapid rises of the river into adjacent
agricultural land.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday

Current model projections develop a swath of moderate snow across
the southern half of South Dakota Thursday and Friday.
Uncertainty in the exact track and intensity of this system will
likely result in changes to upcoming forecast snow amounts and the
communities most heavily impacted.
