THE REGION WILL SEE BREEZY AND GUSTY SOUTH WINDS TODAY WHICH WILL
TURN TO THE SOUTHWEST DURING THE AFTERNOON. SCATTERED SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS ARE ALSO EXPECTED BY LATE THIS AFTERNOON MAINLY EAST
OF THE JAMES RIVER VALLEY OVER INTO WESTERN MINNESOTA. RELATIVE
HUMIDITY WILL BOTTOM OUT IN THE 30 TO 40 PERCENT RANGE OVER FIRE
WEATHER ZONES 267 TO 270 THIS AFTERNOON...WITH HIGHER MINIMUM
RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES EXPECTED FURTHER EAST.

RATHER STRONG NORTHWEST WINDS ARE STILL ANTICIPATED BY LATE SATURDAY
NIGHT ON INTO SUNDAY...ESPECIALLY ACROSS FIRE WEATHER ZONES 267
TO 271...WHERE RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES DURING PEAK HEATING AND
PEAK MIXING ARE FORECAST TO DROP TO A RANGE FROM 25 PERCENT TO 45
PERCENT.
