.DISCUSSION...NORTHWEST WINDS ARE FORECAST OVER CENTRAL SOUTH
DAKOTA TODAY WHILE FURTHER EAST...WINDS WILL INITIALLY BE WEST TO
SOUTHWEST BEFORE SWITCHING TO THE NORTHWEST DURING THE AFTERNOON.
MIN RH VALUES WILL DROP INTO THE 30S FOR MOST AREAS THIS
AFTERNOON. ON MONDAY...WINDS WILL BE FAIRLY LIGHT OVER THE REGION.
TUESDAY WILL BE A DAY FOR ELEVATED FIRE DANGER AS GUSTY SOUTH TO
SOUTHEAST WINDS ARE EXPECTED...ALONG WITH WELL ABOVE NORMAL
TEMPERATURES AND DRY CONDITIONS.

MOISTURE CONTENT OF GRASSES...AND OTHER DRY ORGANIC MATERIAL
ON THE GROUND...INDICATE THAT THERE IS A MODERATE TO HIGH
POTENTIAL FOR A FIRE OCCURRENCE. OUTDOOR BURNING SHOULD BE
RESTRICTED TO EARLY MORNING OR EVENING HOURS WHEN WIND SPEEDS
USUALLY LOWER AND THE RELATIVE HUMIDITY IS HIGHER.
