NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ABERDEEN SD
417 AM CDT SAT AUG 16 2014

.DISCUSSION...
THE NEXT FEW DAYS LOOK TO BE RATHER INCLEMENT THANKS TO A WEAK
LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM THAT IS DRIFTING ACROSS THE AREA. EXPECT
SCATTERED SHOWERS AND STORMS WITH THIS SYSTEM...AND GIVEN ITS SLOW
MOTION...HEAVY RAIN CAN STILL BE EXPECTED WITH ANY OF THESE
STORMS. A COOL FRONT WILL SWEEP ACROSS THE DAKOTAS LATE SUNDAY
INTO EARLY MONDAY...BRINGING ADDITIONAL STORMS TO THE REGION.

...LOW FIRE DANGER...

THE GRASSLAND FIRE DANGER INDEX WILL REACH THE LOW CATEGORY
THIS AFTERNOON. FAVORABLE WEATHER CONDITIONS OR A HIGH MOISTURE
CONTENT OF GRASSES...AND OTHER DRY ORGANIC MATERIAL ON THE
GROUND...INDICATE THAT THE PROBABILITY OF A FIRE OCCURRENCE IS
LOW. OUTDOOR BURNING UNDER THESE CONDITIONS CAN USUALLY BE
PERFORMED WITH REASONABLE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS.

THE OUTLOOK FOR SUNDAY AFTERNOON...THE GRASSLAND FIRE DANGER
INDEX WILL REACH THE LOW CATEGORY.
