In south central Virginia, City of Petersburg and Prince George. * WHEN...Until 445 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 245 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Overflowing poor drainage areas will cause minor flooding in the advisory area. Up to 1.5 inches of rain has fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area through 4 am EDT. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Petersburg, Hopewell, Colonial Heights, Chester, Fort Gregg- Adams, Virginia State University, Ettrick, Bellwood, Petersburg National Battlefield and Varina. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
