A strong low pressure system will bring isolated to scattered
showers to the region. A few thunderstorms are also possible
this afternoon, mainly in South Dakota and southern Minnesota.
High temperatures will be in the 50s west to 60s and perhaps lower
70s east. Look for lingering showers tonight across the southern
half of the region, with chances for showers diminishing across
the north. Lows tonight will be in the upper 30s to upper 40s.

Chances for showers then become more isolated through the end of
the week. Breezy winds are expected on Friday. Daytime highs
through the work week will mostly be in the 50s and 60s, though a
few locations in the southeast will peak into the lower 70s at
times. Lows through Friday will range from the upper 30s to upper
40s, warming into the 40s and 50s this weekend. Seasonable warm
temperatures and mostly dry conditions are then on tap for the
coming weekend.
