...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Connecticut...

  Connecticut River At Hartford affecting Middlesex and Hartford
  Counties.

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Connecticut...

  Connecticut River At Middle Haddam affecting Middlesex County.

For the Connecticut River...including Montague, Northampton, Holyoke
Dam, Holyoke, Springfield, Thompsonville, Hartford, Middle Haddam...
Minor flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

The next statement will be issued late tonight at midnight EDT.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL JUST AFTER MIDNIGHT TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Connecticut River at Hartford.

* WHEN...Until just after midnight tonight.

* IMPACTS...At 17.0 feet, Lowland flooding is expected along the
  Connecticut River from Hartford through Wethersfield and
  Glastonbury, primarily outside of levee protection. This will
  affect several riverside roadways as well as several park and
  recreational facilities. Further downstream flooding is expected
  in low lying sections along the Connecticut River from
  Wethersfield and Glastonbury downstream through Cromwell,
  Middletown and Portland.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 11:30 AM EDT Tuesday the stage was 16.7 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 16.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 11:30 AM EDT Tuesday was 19.1 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    this evening and continue falling to 10.2 feet Friday
    morning.
  - Flood stage is 16.0 feet.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Connecticut River at Middle Haddam.

* WHEN...Until tomorrow evening.

* IMPACTS...At 8.0 feet, Flooding is expected in low lying sections
  along the Connecticut River from Wethersfield and Glastonbury
  downstream through Cromwell, Middletown and Portland. Boating
  interests should prepare for a period of swift river flows.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 10:55 AM EDT Tuesday the stage was 8.6 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 10:55 AM EDT Tuesday was 9.8 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will fall below flood stage early
    tomorrow afternoon to 5.5 feet Thursday morning. It will then
    rise to 5.6 feet late Thursday morning. It will fall to 4.9
    feet Thursday evening. It will then rise to 5.1 feet late
    Thursday evening. It will fall again and remain below flood
    stage.
  - Flood stage is 7.0 feet.
