Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southeast Wyoming/Western Nebraska
National Weather Service CHEYENNE WY
154 PM MDT Sat May 4 2024

HIGH WIND WATCH IN EFFECT FROM SUNDAY MORNING THROUGH SUNDAY
EVENING

.DISCUSSION...
Dry weather will continue over southeast Wyoming and western Nebraska
on both Saturday and on Sunday. Light winds today will result in a
low fire-weather threat. On Sunday, southwest wind will increase in
south-central Wyoming ahead of a front where wind gusts over 50 mph
will be possible. This will result in elevated fire weather conditions
before precipitation moves in on Sunday evening. Expect lower fire
weather threats through early next week with higher RH and showers in
the area.
