...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 430 PM CDT
FOR SOUTHWESTERN POWESHIEK...NORTHEASTERN MARION...NORTHWESTERN
MAHASKA AND SOUTHEASTERN JASPER COUNTIES...

At 400 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Sully, or 8
miles northeast of Pella, moving northeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Public reported quarter sized hail 6 miles north of Pella.

IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
         damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind
         damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
New Sharon, Sully, Lynnville, and Searsboro.

This includes Interstate 80 between mile markers 183 and 185.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for south central
Iowa.

building.
