...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT CDT TONIGHT
FOR LEON COUNTY...

At 1001 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 3 and 6 inches of rain
have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are
possible. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
People within the warned area will need to monitor for additional
heavy rainfall through the overnight that could worsen flood
conditions.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
         flash flooding.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
         urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Buffalo, Centerville, Fort Boggy State Park, Lake Limestone,
  Corinth, Jewett, Redland, Marquez, Leona, Pleasant Springs, Flo,
  Robbins, Eunice, Centerview and Flynn.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Dangerous flash flooding is occurring or is imminent. Do not attempt
to travel unless you are fleeing flood waters. If you are in an area
subject to flooding, move to higher ground now.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
