...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN WHARTON...EASTERN
JACKSON...SOUTHWESTERN BRAZORIA AND NORTHERN MATAGORDA COUNTIES
THROUGH 930 AM CDT...

At 856 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Blessing, or 9 miles north of Palacios, moving northeast at 50 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Bay City, Sweeny, Blessing, Markham, Van Vleck, Boling-Iago, and
Midfield.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 100 PM CDT for
south central and southeastern Texas.
