The National Weather Service in Huntsville Alabama has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  East central Colbert County in northwestern Alabama...
  Northwestern Lawrence County in northwestern Alabama...

* Until 815 PM CDT.

* At 745 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Town Creek,
  or 11 miles east of Muscle Shoals, moving northeast at 30 mph.
  Spotter reported a a lowering in this supercell.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Town Creek, Leighton, Ford City, and Northwest Alabama Regional
  Airport.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for north central
and northwestern Alabama.
