...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 800 PM CDT
FOR WESTERN ELK...NORTHEASTERN COWLEY...SOUTHEASTERN BUTLER AND
NORTHWESTERN CHAUTAUQUA COUNTIES...
At 737 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 10 miles northwest of Howard to near Burden, moving
southeast at 25 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Burden, Grenola, Atlanta, Latham, Cambridge, and Winfield City Lake.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for south central
and southeastern Kansas.
