...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT AVOYELLES AND NORTH CENTRAL ST.
LANDRY PARISHES THROUGH 545 AM CDT...

At 518 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from near Hessmer to near
Cottonport to near Big Cane. Movement was northeast at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to vegetation and outdoor
         objects is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Marksville, Bunkie, Simmesport, Moreauville, Bordelonville, Bayou
Current, Morrow, Cottonport, Mansura, Hessmer, Evergreen,
Plaucheville, Goudeau, Brouillette, Lake Ophelia National Wildlife
Refuge, Big Cane, Dupont, Big Bend, Lebeau, and Hamburg.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 AM CDT for
central Louisiana.
