THROUGH 1200 PM...SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING THROUGH
NORTHERN AND EASTERN MINNESOTA WHILE... A MIX OF SUN AND CLOUD
WITH SOME CLEAR SKIES WERE OCCURRING OVER THE THE SOUTH OF THE
MINNESOTA RIVER AND IN THE UPPER RED RIVER VALLEY. THUNDERSTORMS
AND SHOWERS WILL MOVE NORTH INTO CANADA DURING THE EARLY AFTERNOON.

THE FOCUS IS FOR ACTIVE SEVERE WEATHER THIS AFTERNOON.  LOW
PRESSURE LOCATED OVER CENTRAL NORTH DAKOTA WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
VERY WARM AND MUGGY AIR BEING DRAWN IN TO THE REGION FROM THE
SOUTH. HIGH TEMPERATURES TODAY AND HEAT INDEX VALUES WILL REACH
INTO THE 90S ACROSS MUCH OF THE REGION...EXCLUDING NORTH EAST
MINNESOTA AND AREAS ADJACENT TO LAKE SUPERIOR. FOR THE ARROWHEAD
EXPECT HIGHS IN THE MIDDLE TO UPPER 70S.

TODAY`S HEATING ALONG WITH THE APPROACHING LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM
WILL LEAD TO VERY UNSTABLE CONDITIONS. SEVERE WEATHER IS POSSIBLE
THIS AFTERNOON AND INTO THE OVERNIGHT HOURS. STAY AWARE OF THE
FORECAST FOR THIS AFTERNOON AND MONITOR FOR POTENTIAL WATCHES OR
WARNINGS.
