WEATHER SUMMARY FOR MINNESOTA

Cloudy skies blanketed the North Star state overnight on the
backside of a departing cold front. Even with the clouds, northwest
winds and colder air moving in to the region have allowed
temperatures to drop into the 20s for much of the state early this
Clearing will take place throughout the day today as high pressure
approaches from the northwest. A warm front will move through the
state tonight into Sunday, bringing much warmer temperatures into
the area. Another weak cold front will move through the region
Sunday night but much of the state looks to remain dry. High
pressure will return once again for the first part of next week.
Highs today will range from the middle 30s to the middle 40s.
Noticeably warmer temperatures will then follow for Sunday with the
passage of the warm front, producing highs in the 50s to middle 60s
for much of the state. The cold frontal passage on Sunday night will
drop highs on Monday into the 40s to around 50, followed by highs
ranging from the upper 20s to the lower 40s on Tuesday.
