WEATHER SUMMARY FOR MINNESOTA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DULUTH MN
1124 AM CST FRI FEB 20 2015

AROUND MID MORNING AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE WAS LOCATED IN FAR
NORTHWEST MINNESOTA. AS A RESULT SKIES WERE CLOUDY STATEWIDE WITH
LIGHT SNOW MAINLY CONFINED TO NORTHEAST MINNESOTA...HOWEVER A FEW
SPOTS IN NORTH CENTRAL AND NORTHWEST MINNESOTA WERE REPORTING
LIGHT SNOW. TEMPERATURES WERE IN THE TEENS FOR MOST OF THE
STATE EXCEPT FOR THE NORTHEAST WHERE READINGS WERE IN THE SINGLE
DIGITS.

THE LOW WILL TRACK EASTWARDS ALONG THE INTERNATIONAL BORDER TODAY.
THIS WILL KEEP THE STATE CLOUDY. A FEW LIGHT SNOW SHOWERS CANNOT
BE RULED OUT IN NORTHERN AND EASTERN MINNESOTA THIS AFTERNOON.
HIGHS RANGE FROM THE TEENS IN NORTHEAST MINNESOTA TO TO THE LOW
30S ACROSS THE SOUTHWEST.

THE COLD FRONT ASSOCIATED WITH THE LOW WILL MOVE THROUGH THE
STATE TONIGHT AS THE LOW MOVES EASTWARDS INTO FAR NORTHEAST
ONTARIO. THIS WILL KEEP THE STATE MOSTLY CLOUDY AND THERE IS A
SLIGHT CHANCE OF LIGHT SNOW SHOWERS. LOWS IN THE SINGLE DIGITS
BELOW ZERO ALONG THE INTERNATIONAL BORDER AND IN THE TEENS ABOVE
ZERO ACROSS THE SOUTH.

THIS WEEKEND HIGH PRESSURE WILL BUILD IN FROM THE NORTHWEST...WHICH
WILL RESULT IN DECREASING CLOUD COVER ON SATURDAY AND SUNNY SKIES
ON SUNDAY. IT WILL BE COLD WITH TEMPERATURES REMAINING 20 TO 30
DEGREES BELOW NORMAL.
