Weather Summary for Minnesota

Clouds lingered over the north and east overnight. A few showers
roamed the northeast and northwest. Early morning temperatures
ranged in the 40s.

A weak weather system will travel across southern Minnesota and Iowa
during the day. It will remain the focus of more organized showers
and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. A few of the
thunderstorms could be on the strong side...mainly along and south
of I90. The remainder of the state will see the chance of showers
develop during the day...especially over the north. Afternoon highs
are expected to range in the lower 50s north to upper 60s far south.

The upper trough of low pressure will drop south over the state
tonight and increase the showers chance s from west to east. This
trough will linger over the region through Tuesday night. It will
continue the chance of showers through this period along with clouds
and below temperatures.

Midweek appears to the driest period of the week...with sunshine
expected. Highs should warm through the 60s to the 70s by the end of
the week.
