VERY CHILLY MORNING TEMPERATURES WERE FOUND ACROSS MINNESOTA`S
NORTHLAND. MIDDLE 30S TO LOW 40S WERE REPORTED FROM ELY...SILVER
BAY AND BRIMSON...TO NAME A FEW. 50S AND LOW 60S WERE COMMON
ELSEWHERE. WINDS WERE CALM IN MOST LOCATIONS BUT SOUTHERLY WINDS
WERE INCREASING AS LOW PRESSURE MOVES IN FROM THE WEST AND HIGH
PRESSURE MOVES EAST OF OUR AREA. BY 1100AM TEMPERATURES HAD JUMPED
INTO THE 70S STATEWIDE...EXCEPT FOR AREAS NEAR LAKE SUPERIOR WHERE
IT WAS COOLER.

HIGH PRESSURE WILL DRIFT INTO THE SOUTHERN GREAT LAKES TODAY.
THIS ALLOWS FOR A WARM...MOIST AIR MASS TO FLOW INTO THE REGION
TODAY. A WARM FRONT MOVES INTO MINNESOTA AND A FEW SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS MAY FORM OVER EASTERN NORTH DAKOTA AND WESTERN
MINNESOTA BY AFTERNOON...AND REACH THE CANADIAN BORDER BY EVENING.

THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO PERCOLATE OVER MUCH OF MINNESOTA
TONIGHT. THE REST OF THE REGION WILL BE QUIET WITH THE HIGH
PRESSURE NEARBY. SHOWERS AND STORMS WILL AFFECT PRIMARILY NORTHERN
MINNESOTA AND ADJACENT CANADA ON SATURDAY AS UPPER LEVEL ENERGY
REPEATEDLY MOVES THROUGH THE AREA.

HIGHS TODAY WILL BE IN THE 70S...WITH A FEW SPOTS IN THE LOWER
80S. LOWS TONIGHT WILL RANGE FROM THE MIDDLE 50S EAST...TO THE
MIDDLE 60S WEST. HIGHS ON SATURDAY SHALL BE IN THE 70S EAST...TO
THE UPPER 80S WEST.
