Weather Summary for Minnesota
National Weather Service Twin Cities/Chanhassen MN
400 AM CDT Thu Jun 22 2017

A north to south oriented cold front resides over western Minnesota
this morning with a warm front extending eastward over far southern
portions of the state. Scattered showers and thunderstorms earlier
this morning in southeastern portions have since drifted into
Wisconsin but additional showers and thunderstorms in west-central
portions will shift east. Coverage of the showers and thunderstorms
is expected to increase over central and southern portions through
this afternoon and evening ahead of the cold front.

Precipitation coverage will diminish tonight into Friday morning as
the cold front exits to the east. In its wake, a few upper level
disturbances will drift through the region, potentially producing
isolated to scattered showers late Friday into the weekend.

While highs will remain in the 70s statewide today, highs will drop
into the 60s Friday on through the weekend. High temperatures will
then climb back into the 70s early next week.
