.DISCUSSION...

A shift to a more southwesterly flow aloft on Friday will bring in
a chance of showers and thunderstorms by 1500 MDT. These storms
will likely not produce much rain, but they could produce erratic
wind gusts to 40 mph at times through the late afternoon and early
evening hours. Humidity should fall from the upper 30s around noon
into the lower 30s between 1500 MDT and 1700 MDT or so. Shower and
thunderstorm activity should diminish overnight, but there will be
another chance for showers Saturday afternoon, but with slightly
less of a chance of thunderstorms. However, prevailing winds will
become breezy out of the southwest to west during the afternoon.

.FRIDAY...

Sky/weather.........Mostly sunny (45-55 percent). Chance of rain
                    showers and slight chance of thunderstorms in
                    the afternoon.
CWR.................5 percent.
LAL.................1 until 1400, then 2.
Max temperature.....68-73.
Min humidity........27-32 percent.
Wind (20 ft)........
 Slope/valley.......Southeast winds around 10 mph shifting to the
                    southwest late in the afternoon. Gusty and
                    erratic winds expected near thunderstorms in
                    the afternoon.
Mixing height.......7500 ft AGL.
Transport winds.....Southeast around 10 mph shifting to the
                    southwest early in the afternoon, then shifting
                    to the west around 20 mph late in the
                    afternoon.
Haines Index........3 or very low potential for large plume
                    dominated fire growth.
