.OVERVIEW...LONG-PERIOD WEST SWELL FROM DISTANT TYPHOON LAN WILL
CAUSE LARGE...DANGEROUS SURF ALONG WEST FACING REEFS OF THE
MARIANAS THROUGH MONDAY. SWELL WILL SHIFT TO THE NORTHWEST MONDAY
CAUSING SURF TO RISE ALONG NORTH FACING SHORES. THE EFFECTS OF
TROPICAL DEPRESSION 27W WILL ALSO CAUSE SURF TO RISE ALONG SOUTH
AND EAST FACING SHORES OF THE MARIANAS BEGINNING TONIGHT.

...HIGH SURF ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM MONDAY TO 6 PM
CHST WEDNESDAY ALONG NORTH AND SOUTH FACING REEFS...

FOR SOUTH FACING SHORES...HAZARDOUS SURF OF 9 TO 11 FEET WILL
LINGER THROUGH MONDAY NIGHT...THEN FALL BELOW HAZARDOUS LEVELS
TUESDAY. TROPICAL DEPRESSION 27W WILL CAUSE SURF TO RISE AGAIN.
THE AMOUNT OF RISE WILL DEPEND ON ITS EXACT TRACK THROUGH THE
MARIANAS THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS.

FOR WEST FACING REEFS...DANGEROUS SURF OF 12 TO 16 FEET WILL
CONTINUE THROUGH MONDAY BEFORE SUBSIDING SLOWLY MONDAY EVENING AS
WEST SWELL DECREASES AND SHIFTS TO THE NORTHWEST. MINOR COASTAL
INUNDATION AROUND 1 TO 2 FEET IS POSSIBLE AROUND TIMES OF HIGH
TIDE. THE NEXT HIGH TIDES WILL BE AROUND 830 PM THIS EVENING AND
1030 AM MONDAY. ALTHOUGH SURF WILL SLOWLY DIMINISH STARTING
MONDAY EVENING...SURF WILL REMAIN HAZARDOUS THROUGH WEDNESDAY.

FOR NORTH FACING REEFS...HAZARDOUS SURF OF 7 TO 10 FEET WILL
CONTINUE TO SLOWLY RISE TONIGHT...AND COULD REACH 9 TO 11 FEET
MONDAY...THEN SLOWLY SUBSIDE TUESDAY OR WEDNESDAY.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

AVOID VENTURING OUT ON EXPOSED REEFS AND BEACHES...ESPECIALLY
THOSE FACING WEST...SOUTH AND NORTH...AS RIP CURRENTS WILL BE
LIFE THREATENING.

A HIGH SURF WARNING INDICATES THAT DANGEROUS...BATTERING WAVES
WILL POUND THE SHORELINE. THIS WILL RESULT IN LIFE-THREATENING
CONDITIONS.

A HIGH SURF ADVISORY MEANS THAT HIGH SURF WILL AFFECT BEACHES IN
THE ADVISORY AREA...PRODUCING LOCALIZED BEACH EROSION AND
DANGEROUS SWIMMING CONDITIONS.
