MAY WAS WARMER AND MUCH DRIER THAN NORMAL. JUST 0.58 INCHES OF RAIN
FELL DURING THE MONTH, WHICH WAS 1.34 INCHES BELOW NORMAL. THAT
MAKES THIS PAST MAY THE 13TH DRIEST MAY ON RECORD.  IT WAS ALSO THE
DRIEST MAY SINCE 1993 WHEN HALF AN INCH OF RAIN FELL. THE GREATEST
REAINFALL DURING THE MONTH WAS 0.26 INCHES ON THE 7TH. MEASUREABLE
RAINFALL OCCURRED ON JUST SEVEN DAYS. FOR THE YEAR SO FAR, 2.61
INCHES OF MOISTURE HAS BEEN RECORDED, WITH IS 1.12 INCHES BELOW
NORMAL.

THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE FOR THE MONTH WAS 56.6 DEGREES, WHICH WAS
1.5 DEGREES WARMER THAN NORMAL. THE AVERAGE HIGH TEMPERATURE WAS 72
DEGREES WHILE THE AVERAGE LOW WAS 41.3 DEGREES. THE WARMEST DAY WAS
ON THE 12TH WITH A HIGH OF 88 DEGREES, WHILE THE COOLEST WAS 32
DEGREES ON THE 18TH.

THE WIND GUSTED TO 30 MPH OR GREATER ON FOURTEEN DAYS, WITH A PEAK
WIND OF 49 MPH ON THE 21ST.

LOOKING AHEAD TO JUNE, NORMAL HIGH TEMPERATURES BEGIN THE MONTH IN
THE LOWER 70S WITH LOWS IN THE UPPER 40S. BY THE END OF THE MONTH,
NORMAL HIGHS ARE IN THE LOWER 80S WITH LOWS IN THE MID 50S. NORMAL
