...NOVEMBER WAS MUCH DRIER AND SLIGHTLY WARMER THAN NORMAL...

WITH A TOTAL OF JUST 0.07 INCHES OF PRECIPITATION, NOVEMBER WAS THE
17TH DRIEST ON RECORD IN LINCOLN. THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE OF 41.0
DEGREES WAS 2.1 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL AND THE 47TH WARMEST. NO SNOW
WAS REPORTED IN NOVEMBER, WHICH HAS OCCURRED 4 OTHER TIMES SINCE
SNOW RECORDS BEGAN IN 1948.

TEMPERATURES WERE BELOW NORMAL ON MOST DAYS FROM THE 1ST THROUGH THE
13TH. THOUGH LARGELY A QUIET WEATHER PERIOD, A LIGHT 0.01 INCHES OF
RAIN DID FALL ON THE 11TH. FROM THE 14TH THROUGH THE 30TH, ALL BUT
FOUR DAYS HAD ABOVE-NORMAL TEMPERATURES. A COLD FRONT ON THE 17TH TO
18TH BROUGHT 0.06 INCHES OF RAIN, THE LAST MEASURABLE RAIN OF THE
MONTH. A BRIEF COOLDOWN ON THE 21ST AND 22ND BROUGHT THE LOWEST
TEMPERATURE OF THE MONTH, AT 12 DEGREES ON THE 22ND, BUT IT WAS
FOLLOWED BY SEVERAL DAYS OF MUCH ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES CLOSE TO
THANKSGIVING. THE WARMEST TEMPERATURE OF THE MONTH WAS A DAILY
RECORD HIGH OF 75 DEGREES ON THE 24TH, AND RECORD HIGH TEMPERATURES
ALSO WERE SET ON THE 23RD (71 DEGREES) AND 27TH (72 DEGREES).


FOR THE FALL MONTHS OF SEPTEMBER THROUGH NOVEMBER, THE AVERAGE
TEMPERATURE WAS 55.6 DEGREES, WHICH WAS 2.9 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL AND
THE 29TH WARMEST ON RECORD. THE TOTAL PRECIPITATION WAS 6.82 INCHES,
WHICH WAS 0.40 INCHES ABOVE NORMAL AND THE 48TH WETTEST ON RECORD AS
A VERY DRY NOVEMBER FOLLOWED A WET SEPTEMBER AND OCTOBER. ONLY A
TRACE OF SNOW WAS RECORDED.
