SYNOPSIS FOR BAFFIN BAY TO RIO GRANDE OUT 60 NM-
1018 PM CDT FRI AUG 26 2016

.SYNOPSIS...BROAD HIGH PRESSURE OVER THE SOUTHEASTERN U.S. WILL
ALLOW FOR A GENERALLY WEAK PRESSURE GRADIENT THAT WILL KEEP
LIGHT NORTHEAST TO SOUTHEAST WINDS AND LOW SEAS IN PLACE ALONG
THE LOWER TEXAS COAST THROUGH THE WEEKEND AND INTO NEXT WEEK.
MEANWHILE...AN UPPER LEVEL LOW WILL MOVE ACROSS THE WESTERN GULF
AND ALONG THE NORTHERN TEXAS COAST ON SATURDAY AND SUNDAY...WITH
SOME CHANCES FOR SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS FOR THE LOCAL GULF
WATERS. HOWEVER...THE UPPER LEVEL LOW WILL DRIFT SOUTH ALONG THE
TEXAS COASTLINE LATE IN THE WEEKEND AND THROUGH THE FIRST HALF OF
THE WEEK...AND WILL BRING BETTER CHANCES FOR SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS THE COASTAL WATERS.
