THIS EVENING...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN FORT WORTH HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WATCH FOR THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES IN NORTH CENTRAL
  TEXAS...BELL...COMANCHE...CORYELL...FALLS...HAMILTON...
  LAMPASAS...LIMESTONE...MCLENNAN AND MILLS. IN NORTHEAST
  TEXAS...LEON. IN SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS...MILAM AND ROBERTSON.

* FROM 7 AM CDT THIS MORNING THROUGH 7 PM THIS EVENING

* NUMEROUS SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE FORECAST TO DEVELOP ACROSS
  THE WATCH AREA BY LATE THIS MORNING. SOME OF THE THUNDERSTORMS
  WILL PRODUCE RAINFALL RATES OF OVER 2 INCHES PER HOUR...WITH
  RAPID RUNOFF LEADING TO FLASH FLOODING.

* THE FLOODING THREAT WILL BE GREATEST IN THOSE AREAS THAT RECEIVE
  MULTIPLE ROUNDS OF SHOWER AND THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY TODAY. THERE
  WILL ALSO BE AN ENHANCED RISK OF FLASH FLOODING IN AREAS THAT
  RECEIVED HEAVY RAINS WEDNESDAY AND WEDNESDAY NIGHT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR HEAVY
RAIN WHICH MAY LEAD TO FLASH FLOODING. YOU SHOULD MONITOR THE
LATEST FORECASTS FROM THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE AND BE
PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION SHOULD FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS BE ISSUED FOR
YOUR AREA.
