* THE WARM FRONT HAS MOVED NORTH OF THE AREA WITH MUCH OF THE
WATCH AREA NOW UNDER AN UNSEASONABLY MOIST AIR MASS THAT EXTENDS
WELL INTO MEXICO. BANDS OF RAINFALL WILL DEVELOP THROUGHOUT THE
NIGHT INTO SUNDAY MORNING THAT WILL BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING
HEAVY RAINFALL AT TIMES OVER THE SAME LOCATIONS WHERE THESE
  BANDS BECOME ESTABLISHED.

BY 3 PM CST...A LARGE AREA OF ACCUMULATIONS GENERALLY BETWEEN 1
TO 2 INCHES WAS NOTED FROM EAST OF BATON ROUGE TO NEAR LAKE
MAUREPAS. A NARROW BAND OF 3 TO 4 INCHES WAS ALSO INDICATED
ACROSS ASCENSION AND LIVINGSTON PARISHES. ELSEWHERE...RAINFALL
TOTALS WERE CLOSER TO 1 INCH OR LESS.

ACCOUNTING FOR THE RAINFALL THAT HAS ALREADY OCCURRED...
ADDITIONAL RAINFALL GENERALLY BETWEEN 2 AND 4 INCHES REMAIN
POSSIBLE IN THE WATCH AREA WITH SOME LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS NEAR
6 INCHES IN NARROW BANDS THROUGH SUNDAY AFTERNOON. THE THREAT OF
HEAVY RAINS WILL DIMINISH WITH THE PASSAGE OF A COLD FRONT
  SUNDAY AFTERNOON.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLOOD WATCH MEANS THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR FLOODING BASED ON
CURRENT FORECASTS.

RIVER FLOOD WARNINGS HAVE BEEN ISSUED FOR SEVERAL RIVERS IN THE
FLOOD WATCH AREA. THESE ARE BASED ON SOME OF THE RAIN THAT HAS
ALREADY FALLEN AS WELL AS FORECAST RAINFALL EXPECTED THROUGH
SUNDAY. IF YOU LIVE NEAR THESE WARNED RIVERS OR NEAR OTHER
STREAMS IN THE AREA...TAKE APPROPRIATE ACTION TO PROTECT YOUR
LIFE AND PROPERTY.

YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE ALERT FOR POSSIBLE
FLOOD WARNINGS. THOSE LIVING IN AREAS PRONE TO FLOODING SHOULD BE
PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION SHOULD FLOODING DEVELOP.
