...Flash Flood Watch is in effect until 4 pm CDT...

.A rich stream of moisture moving from the Gulf of Mexico into
the region produce torrential rainfall overnight last night.
Flash flooding of poorly drained areas and along the area streams
and bayous did occur in a few locations and it will be possible
for additional heavy rain in areas which already saw heavy rain
last night.

...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM CDT THIS
AFTERNOON...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of southeast Louisiana and southern Mississippi,
  including the following areas, in southeast Louisiana, East
  Feliciana, Iberville, Pointe Coupee, West Baton Rouge, and
  West Feliciana. In southern Mississippi, Amite and Wilkinson.

* until 4 PM CDT this afternoon

* Rain rates of 1 to 3 inches per hour. Additional accumulations
  of 2 to 4 inches possible through today.

* Flash flooding of low lying areas and along area streams and
  bayous. Hazardous driving conditions along I-10 and U.S. 190
  across the Atchafalaya Basin.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
