...FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM THIS EVENING THROUGH TUESDAY
MORNING...

The National Weather Service in Topeka has expanded the

* Flash Flood Watch to include a portion of central Kansas,
  including the following area, Dickinson.

* From this evening through Tuesday morning

* A period of heavy rainfall is expected with the potential for
  some locations to receive between 1 and 3 inches of rain by
  Tuesday morning.

* The heavy rainfall over a short period of time could lead to
  rapid rises on creeks and streams, especially in urban areas.
  Ponding of water on roads is also likely.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of east central Kansas and northeast Kansas,
  including the following areas, in east central Kansas,
  Anderson, Coffey, Douglas, Franklin, Geary, Lyon, Morris,
  Osage, Shawnee, and Wabaunsee. In northeast Kansas, Brown,
  Jackson, Jefferson, Nemaha, Pottawatomie, and Riley.

* From this evening through Tuesday morning

* A period of heavy rainfall is expected with the potential for
  some locations to receive between 1 and 3 inches of rain by
  Tuesday morning.

* The heavy rainfall over a short period of time could lead to
  rapid rises on creeks and streams, especially in urban areas.
