...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 400 AM CDT FOR
CENTRAL ATOKA COUNTY...

AT 159 AM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR AND AUTOMATED RAIN GAUGES INDICATED
NEARLY SIX INCHES OF RAIN HAVE FALLEN NEAR THE ATOKA AND COAL COUNTY
LINES...JUST WEST OF STRINGTOWN AND NEAR THE ATOKA RESERVOIR. DANGEROUS
FLASH FLOODING IS LIKELY...AND ADDITIONAL RAINFALL NEAR ONE TO TWO
INCHES IS EXPECTED OVER THE NEXT HOUR.

SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
ATOKA...STRINGTOWN...TUSHKA...LANE...DAISY...CHOCKIE...MCGEE CREEK LAKE...
ATOKA RESERVOIR AND REDDEN.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODING.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.

PLEASE REPORT FLOODING TO YOUR LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY WHEN YOU
CAN DO SO SAFELY.
