THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN EL PASO HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  NORTHWESTERN EL PASO COUNTY IN WESTERN TEXAS...

* UNTIL 1000 PM MDT

* AT 822 PM MDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING
  HEAVY RAIN ACROSS THE WARNED AREA. THESE STORMS ARE TRAILING BACK
  IN AN ARC FROM NEAR FORT BLISS SOUTHWEST TO DOWNTOWN AND SOUTH EL
  PASO.  RADAR ESTIMATES OVER AN INCH OF RAIN HAS ALREADY FALLEN.
  THE HEAVIEST RAIN HAS FALLEN IN A NARROW CORRDOR SOUTH OF I-10
  AND WEST OF THE CORDOVA BRIDGE.

* SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
  CENTRAL EL PASO...
  SOUTH EL PASO...
  NORTHEAST EL PASO...
  FORT BLISS...
  BIGGS FIELD.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODING.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF
HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES AS WELL AS OTHER POOR DRAINAGE
AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS.
